In complex, dynamic and interconnected world of business multiple risks and challenges are threatening the survival and growth enterprises. Market uncertainties, competition, stakeholders’ awareness, shifting regulatory landscape, climate change, sustainability and disasters are few challenges adding uncertainty and ambiguity to business operating environment. Businesses desirous to survive and thrive under such complex and uncertain environment, have to respond through resilience strategic response built on entrepreneurial, innovative and resilient capabilities, resources and culture.
Pakistan is among the top 10 most effected countries at risk of climate change induced disasters, socio-political instability and economic crises. Being developing economy all the business enterprises are already struggling to cope with challenges of disasters, scarcity of financial resources, reputational deficit, corruption and institutional instability.
Surprisingly, less research has focused on the interaction of multi-risks dynamic complex environment and organizational response. To address this gap an empirical research has been designed to investigate the impacts of concurrent multiple challenges on organisational sustainable performance in Pakistan. The research is undertaken by, Mr. Arshad Iqbal (certificate is attached below) is a PhD Scholar at Department of Leadership and Management Studies (LMS), Faculty of Contemporary Studies (FCS), National Defense University (NDU), Islamabad. He is an all-round practitioner, consultant and academic with experience of over 30 years. The researcher has served Pakistan Army, UNO, NDMA, Fauji and Askari Cement Companies.
To realistically capture the phenomena under study, form at no. 1 will be filled by member of senior management and form at no. 2 will be filled by member of staff and/or junior management preferably from the department of senior management responding. Data collection forms are shared below
